For my final Year End Bonus, I'm giving away paper! Whether you are a scrapbooker or enjoy making cards, you can never have too much paper!

This week, when you place an order of $60 or more, I'll add a Combo pack of paper, a $14.50 value. You can choose from Enchantment, Adventure, Whimsy or Basic. Each pack of paper includes 20 sheets of paper,  2 of each of the 10 colors in the color family.

Our cardstock is heavy weight (65 lbs) so it is sturdy enough for all of your projects. It cuts clean and smoothly with a Cricut, Silhouette or other die-cutting machines. It also features a white core which makes distressing really stand out.

I know you'll love our paper, so go to my Close To My Heart website and choose your items to earn a pack of this paper!

This special is different from the previous Year End Bonuses in that it is not available on my website. To get your free pack of paper, you must email your order to me.  (If you place your order online, I will still give you the free paper, but you will need to pick it up or pay to have it shipped separately.)

Year End Bonus Time: Stamping Surprise!

For the second week of Year End Bonuses, I'm giving away stamp sets! When you order a stamp set, I'll send you a bonus set of the same size!

If you like surprises, you'll love this giveaway! I have a large selection of brand new stamp sets that I'll randomly choose from to match all stamps ordered. Many are retired, so this is your chance to add some rare sets to your collection.

How does this work? Simply go to my Close To My Heart website, pick out your favorite stampsets and join the "Year End Bonus" gathering before you check out. That's all there is to it! Add as many stamp sets as you'd like to your order. I'll match each one! We currently have stamps for all occasions, so you have plenty to choose from:

Your bonus stamp set(s) will be the same "size" as the one(s) you order. Our stamp sets come in 6 sizes: M, A, B, C, D and E. You can determine the size of a stamp set from the first letter of the item number.

The "mini" M stamp sets fit on a 2" x 2" block and are packaged in a 3" x 3" plastic envelope. All of the others are packaged in a 6" x 6" plastic envelope which is really handy for storage, but the size of the carrier sheet with the stamp varies from 3" x 3" for size A stamps to 6" x 6" for size D. The E size stamp sets have two 6" x 6" carrier sheets making them twice the size of a D.

This special includes the current Stamp of the Month, Thoughtful Flowers. Order this stamp set and you'll get a prior, unused Stamp of the Month from my stash! It doesn't matter whether you pay full price or get it at a discount --- I'll match it!

This special starts today and runs for seven day, so you'll need to get your order in by Thursday, December 22. When you place your order, you are welcome to add any other products including the current specials. You can see all by clicking on the links below the images below.

Be sure to check back on Friday, December 23 for the next Year End Bonus!

Christmas Time is Here Layout: FREE link to Design Space file!

I've been playing with the City Sidewalks Cricut cartridge again!

I love the holiday village on the City Sidewalks Cricut collection and the overlay is perfect to create a snowy night sky. It is a great layout to display the pictures of your home's light display or other decorations or whatever it is that makes you feel like "Christmas Time Is Here".

If you like this layout, I've saved the file for you! Simply click on the link below to open it in your Design Space account. Then you are ready to start cutting!

IMPORTANT: Note that you will not be able to cut this file unless you have linked the City Sidewalks cartridge. If you do not have it yet, you can order it HERE. This cartridge retires on December 31, so don't put off getting your copy!

In addition, the "TIME IS HERE" is from the Flower Market cartridge. You order it (physical or digital) can change the text to your favorite font.

By the way, I also have a free Design Space file for the three City Sidewalks cards below. As I announced yesterday, you can get this file by signing up for my newsletter. (Available to new subscribers in December 2016 only.)

<<Sign up for the Show Me Scrapping Newsletter and receive Christmas card Design Space file>>

The rich colors of this layout are from our Enchantment color palette: Sapphire, Fern, New England Ivy, Pomegranate and Saffron. You just need one sheet of each. You will also need a sheet of Cocoa and three sheets of White Daisy.

To create village scene, cut pieces of the Saffron paper and adhere to the back of White layer to cover the holes for the windows and lamp light. Then attach the White (with Saffron pieces down) on top of the Cocoa piece. Finish off the shops and trees with the remaining pieces of Fern, New England Ivy and Pomegranate.

NOTE: There ate two tiny Pomegranate chimneys! I missed them and had to cut them by hand from scraps!

For the trees, layer the New England Ivy over the White bases to create snowy branches. Then finish them off with with the Cocoa trunks.

Once you have cut out all of the Cricut pieces, you can cut the three 4 x 6 photo mats from the remainder of the Fern cardstock. To assemble the layout, I used 3D foam tape liberally. I used the thin 3D tape under the village and regular 3D tape under the trees to add variety and depth.

I hope you've enjoyed this project and it inspires you to spend some time crafting this holiday season. To see more artwork I've created or pictures of all of the images, click here.

Happy Christmas Creating,
Rebecca

City Sidewalks Sparkles in this Wreath Card - FREE Design Space project file!

I have one more project to show you from the City Sidewalks cartridge. (Be sure to scroll down the the bottom of the page to see how to get a FREE Design Space file to recreate this card!)

This card is super simple using the Merry Christmas sentiment and wreath from New England Ivy and Pomegranate cardstock. I dressed them up a bit by layering a piece of Pomegranate cardstock and glitter paper under the images. Typically, I'd embellish more, but it seemed complete with the sparkle under the images.

FREE Design Space file!

You can get a copy of the Design Space files used to create this card as well as the two City Sidewalks cards below by simply signing up for my newsletter using the link below!

>>Click here to sign up for the Show Me Scrapping newsletter and receive the City Sidewalks cards Design Space files.

(The free Design Space link is only available to new subscribers in December 2016.)

IMPORTANT: Note that you will not be able to cut this file unless you have linked the City Sidewalks cartridge. If you do not have it yet, you can order it HERE. This cartridge retires on December 31, so don't put off getting your copy!

Unpacking the 2017 Planner --- you're going to want one!

Today, I'd like to take a closer look at our planner. I have mine and can't believe how much FUN it is while also being FUNctional! At first glance, you'll notice the fun monthly themed coloring pages and you'll understand how FUN it is. However, if you take a closer look you will also see that it is really quite practical if you want to get organized.

When you open your 2017 planner, you will find:
  • A sturdy binder: keep all your papers secure and protected.
  • Customizable 3-ring design: Carry just the months you currently need with you. This also allows you to transition from your 2016 calendar gradually! Have additional information you'd like in your planner? Simply print, punch holes and add to your planner!
  • Zipper pouch with pen loop: Fill with stamps, business cards, a pencil or pen and any other small items you'd like to have handy.
  • Journaling page: Each month starts with a page for your notes.
  • Tab dividers: Find the month easily with the heavy cardstock tabbed divider pages.
  • Monthly calendars: See the entire month at a glance so you are always on top of upcoming activities. There is also a space for notes and thumbnail view of the past and coming months.
  • Weekly spread: Plan your days in detail. There's plenty of room in each day's section for your events and to do lists. There is also a thumbnail view of the current month.
  • Notes Page: Each month ends with a ruled page ready for you to write.
  • Three gold paper clips: Mark the current week or any other important sections in your planner.
Besides all these practical features, it is the prettiest planner I've ever seen. It starts with your choice of a soft Sea Glass or bold Black and White binder.

Inside, you'll find monthly divider pages with unique "adult-coloring" style images with lots of fun detail to color.

Since these pages are heavy, you can choose to use watercolor or markers without fear of the color bleeding through. On the reverse side of the divider is an encouraging sentiment to start the month with. The monthly journaling page includes a partial copy of the coloring graphics. Throughout you will find lots of extra space for doodling, stamping and journaling.

This video will give you a good look at the both the fun and function aspects of the planner. By watching it you will also learn about the various options for coloring in your planner.

Welcome to the Christmas Season: I RUFF CHRISTMAS!

Now that Thanksgiving is past, it is now officially the Christmas Season! Although this time of year can be hectic and stressful, there is also magic in the air. I really do love ("ruff") Christmastime!

This year, I'm challenging myself to spend more time in the "magic" and less in the stress. This means
  • simplified gifts
  • baking for fun (without quotas!)
  • listening to the words of favorite Christmas tunes
  • watching Christmas movies with my daughter
  • having more sit down family meals
  • try some new craft techniques
Basically, evaluating everything on my "must do list" and make sure it really is a must do. It is so easy to believe that every good Christmas memory from past years needs to be recreated. Instead, I encourage you to find ways to preserve those memories (need help? I've got ideas) and focus instead on making new ones!

The card above was made using the new City Sidewalks Cricut Collection. Both the dog and the sentiment are on Picture My LIfe Pocket scrapbooking cards. The dog card is proportioned to be a 3" x 4" card and "I Ruff Christmas" is proportioned to be a 4" x 6" card.

For this fun Christmas card, I hid the black card layers, changed the colors and resized both until they fit together. I love using 3D tape on my projects and for both images I used some to add dimension.

The Christmas lights border at the bottom of the card is also on the City Sidewalks cartridge.

Remember, this cartridge is only available for Cricut Explore-type machines and will retire on December 31, 2016. To see more artwork I've created or pictures of all of the images, click here.

Happy Christmas Creating,
Rebecca
