This is in addition to the paper pack you will receive with the cartridge. So all together you'll get two packs of paper, 3 stamp sets plus the cartridge!

You will be among the first to own this new pack of bright and beautiful Adventure colors. Seven of the colors have been refreshed and they are totally on trend. This paper will give your projects a fresh edge.

No other paper I have tried works so well with intricate designs. While the surface of the paper is saturated with color, it has a white core. This is important when you want to have a distressed edge.

Five Final Sangria Cards

As July is coming to an end, the end is also near for our current Annual Inspirations Idea Book. Today, I was looking through some of the things I've made with the products from this catalog and realized I had not shared this set of All Occasion Cards.

This is using my favorite paper from the Annual Inspirations book, Sangria. Love the combination of secondary colors (purple, green and orange), with a hint of deep pink in the mix. The stamp set is one of my favorites: Stamps of Approval (C1637) which retired earlier this year.

I had a lot of fun making these cards because the papers in the pack work so well together. Because the paper is so rich in color and design, the only embellishments I added were Poppy Thick Twine and a few Durable Artisan Studs (also retiring on Sunday).

Here's a close up of each card:

I hope that you enjoyed these cards. My goal in blogging about my projects is to inspire you to make time for creating. When life is stressful, overwhelming or sad, I turn to crafting. Focusing on my work helps me get back to center and also frees my mind to touch base with my creator. So clear off a corner of your calendar, grab a few papers from your stash and create even for a few minutes.

By the way, if you love the papers in these cards, be sure to order the Sangria paper pack (and any coordinating items you like) before Sunday, July 31 at midnight (MDT). Please let me know if you have questions about these projects or the products I used.

Going Crazy for the Calypso Collection

Check out the Calypso Collection?  If not, you need to do it now before it retires at the end of August!

This paper collection knows how to party with flamingos, pine apples in fun, summery colors. When you buy the Calypso Workshop Your Way, you get everything you need to make six decorative scrapbook pages.

You can print the instructions on the workshop resource page of my website.

The kit also includes two sheets of double sided Picture My Life cards that you can cut apart. These can be used alone in pocket pages or added as titles, journaling and alternative papers to your layouts.

You will have some paper left over that you can stretch by adding more solid cardstock to make additional layouts. Or you can add a few more products and make this set of adorable cards!

These cards use the cute One in a Melon Stamp Set. Notice the red lines around some of the shapes? This means that these are images on the Artistry Cricut Collection. Just cut them out then stamp the details. Easy peasy custom made embellishments!

When you add your own cards and bases, you'll have enough product left to make three of each of the cards shown (9 all together).

Again, you can print the directions to all of these Magical projects on the workshop resources page of my website. Are you a visual learner? My Resource page also has links to step-by-step instructional videos for the workshop!

Just a reminder that the Calypso collection is only available for a limited time and will retiring on August 31. In addition to the complete kit, you can purchase the paper and embellishment sets separately. You can see the whole collection HERE.

Happy Creating,
Rebecca

Be the Early Bird! No worms, just pre-release products.

I've already invited you to consider joining my team in July, so let's talk a little more about what that may look like. One of the things that founder Jeanette says often is "You Are Welcome Here!" Those are not just fluffy words, the message is clear that everyone is welcome to be a part of this great company. That means that you can decide what kind of consultant you want to be. There is no cookie cutter!

Just to show that this is true, please humor me for a moment and take this brief quiz. Come on, it is just ONE question:

1. If you were a Close To My Heart consultant, which one of the following would describe you?

A. As a new business owner, I love that the start up cost was so affordable

B. I'm a bargain hunter at heart and love figuring out how to get what I want at the best deal possible.

C. I'm not really that creative, plus I'm really busy. However, I want my memories to be recorded to be enjoyed for years to come.

D. My projects are always on trend or even leading the way. My creative style today is what everyone else will be doing a year from now.

-------------

Here's the facts that show the Close To My Heart is a good fit for people who identify with any of the statements above.
  • If you picked A, you'll be interested to learn that the new kit is just $75! What other business can you start with that small outlay of cash?
  • If you picked B, how does over 67% off sound? That's right, the kit includes over $230 in product. Wow what a deal! Also, remember you will continue to get a great deal on all our purchases with discounts, commission and other rewards!
  • If you picked C, let me introduce you to products like Picture My Life and the Workshops Your Way. Your kit includes $50 in product credit that you can use for these products which speed up the process of creating your memory books without sacrificing beauty and style.
  • If you picked D, Jeanette and her team at Close To My Heart watch trends carefully and are amazingly accurate. In July, your kit will include a bonus pack of fundamental paper and complements that will not be released for sell until August. You are already ahead of the game!
In summary, for just $75 you get a kit filled with practical supplies plus a $50 product credit and a bonus paper pack and complements with a total retail value of over $230!

July Stamp of the Month: From the Notebook

The July Stamp of the Month, From the Notebook, gives you a stylish and simple way to make note of every milestone. There are so many great images on this stamp set to add organizing detail to your projects.

Notice the red lines around some of the images? That means that these images are on the Artistry Cricut cartridge! So simply cut out the image and then add the detail with the stamp.

Here's a couple projects made by the artists at Close To My Heart to get your creative juices flowing. First, we have this layout which is very trendy with overlapping layers framing the picture.

The second project is a My Creations Black Mini Book which is retiring July 31. Again, we see lots of overlapping layers. A simple album like this is great for younger scrapbookers to record their summer memories.

I hope these projects have inspired you. If you want to get the stamp set, remember it is only available in July 2016! You can get it at a discounted price of just $5 when you add it to a $50 order. Start shopping now>>

Happy Creating!

Memory Keeping Magic

Have you seen the new Magical paper collection? The bright fun colors are great for your summer pictures, especially if you travel to a certain "world" in Orlando, Florida! But even if that location is not your destination, the theme includes cameras and water blues that will go with lots of vacation plans.

When you buy the Magical Workshop Your Way, you get everything you need to make six decorative scrapbook pages.

These cards use the cute Fairytale Birthday stamp set. When you add your own cards and bases, you'll have enough product left to make three of each of them (9 all together).

B1534 Fairytale Birthday Stamp Set

Again, you can print the directions to all of these Magical projects on the workshop resources page of my website. Are you a visual learner? Close To My Heart also created a set of four videos that take you through the workshop directions step by step!
Just a reminder that the Magical collection is only available for a limited time and will retiring on August 31. In addition to the complete kit, you can purchase the paper and embellishment sets separately. You can see the whole collection HERE.

Happy Creating,

Christmas in July Cards

Today, I want to show you the flat cards we will be making at the Christmas in July workshop. Earlier I posted some pictures of the Album and a Pop Up Box Card.

These cards come together really quickly using the beautiful White Pines Picture My Life Cards left over after making the album. I just added a little paper and a few embellishments. Quick, easy, yet lovely.

I know it seems early to start talking about Christmas preparations, but now is actually the best time to do your Christmas projects. In a couple months, time will seem to speed up. Wouldn't it be nice to have a few handmade cards and a beautiful binder ready so you can focus on making memories?

At the Christmas in July workshop, we will decorate a Christmas notebook and make the first 6 cards of the season. The notebook has a two page spread for each day from December 1 through Christmas. It can be used as a holiday planner, a recipe book, traditions tracker or a photo album --- you decide!

The Christmas in July workshop includes the following;
- 3-Ring Kraft Binder
- 25 Everyday Life Memory Protectors (13 with 4" x 6" pockets and 12 with 4" x 3" pockets)
- White Pines Picture My Life Cards (20 - 4" x 6 cards and 36 - 4" x 3" cards)
- White Pines Complements Pack
- Coordinating solid and printed Picture My Life Cards (37 - 4" x 6" and 60 - 4" x 3")
- 6" Box Card and envelope
- 5 Card bases and envelopes
- Paper and embellishments to decorate album and cards

These projects can be completed on your own or at my house on July 24.

Christmas in July Pop Up Box Card

Last week, I shared with you the Christmas Notebook  that we will be making at the upcoming Christmas in July workshop. Today, have another project from this workshop to show you.

Last year, my friend Kathy gave me this adorable pop up box card.

I loved it so much that I've had it on my desk for the last six months! In fact, it was the inspiration for this whole workshop and will be the second project we will do. Your workshop kit will include the box card base and all of the materials needed to assemble the card.

The workshop will be on Sunday, July 24 starting at 1:00 pm. Click here to learn more and sign up>>

Merry Christmas (in July),

Christmas in July --- project preview

I'm so excited about the "Christmas in July" workshop coming up later this month. This is going to be a really fun collection of projects that will give you an opportunity to get a head start on your Christmas celebrations.

Today, I'd like to give you a preview of the first project -- a Christmas notebook. The first project is a Christmas notebook made from our 3-ring kraft notebook and Everyday Life memory protectors. Although these two products were not designed to go together, they are a perfect fit!

Christmas Notebook title page
The decor of the book comes from the White Pines collection --- paper, stickers and Picture My Life cards --- plus coordinating twine, gems and ribbon. The binder will have a two-page spread for each day from December 1 - 25, plus a title and closing page.

Two-page layout for December 7th
You can either copy the sample pages I made or design your own. Your kit will include plenty of Picture My Life cards (both White Pines and solid cardstock) to fill the book.

Custom Picture My Life cards
You can use this book as a planner to hold all of your to do and shopping lists. You could also include  your holiday menus and decor notes. Use it year after year to keep track of all your traditions.

Alternatively, this book would make a great "picture a day" book to record your holiday memories. Prepare the book now and it will take just a few minutes later to add your pictures and journaling!

The workshop will be on Sunday, July 24 starting at 1:00 pm. Click here to learn more and sign up>>

Merry Christmas (in July),
Rebecca

An Invitation to a Special Journey with Close To My Heart

I'd like to invite you to start on very special journey this month. But first, I'd like to tell you about my Close To My Heart journey which started almost six years ago. As you will read, this was not something I was particularly looking for, the timing wasn't really that great, but I'm so glad I took that first step. I have gained so much!

So my story starts on a lonely November evening while my husband was on a work trip to China. The week had been hectic (as most were those days) and I was wishing some of those "let's get together" conversations with friends would actually get off the ground.

Like most of my friends, I was busy with a full time job, keeping up with house stuff and chasing my daughter around town. (OK, actually driving her, but it seems like I was doing a lot of chasing.) Late that night, I started Googling scrapbooking supplies because I certainly didn't have the energy to actually DO any scrapbooking.

I happened upon the Close To My Heart website and discovered the most beautiful papers!

CTMH's Magnifique collection, circa 2010
These were not just pretty papers, they were pretty COLLECTIONS of paper and COORDINATING embellishments! As I was exploring the Close To My Heart website, I discovered that the best way to get a lot of great product at a great price was to buy the Consultant kit. After carefully reading the agreement to make sure I wasn't signing away my first born. I didn't see any red flags, so I signed up.

My kit arrived just before Thanksgiving and my 10 year old daughter and I spent every minute not consumed by family obligations creating. We watched videos to learn to stamp and other fun techniques. We also watched the business training.  To this day, she continues to be my partner in creating and probably knows more about the products than I do. It has been such a fun adventure to do with her.

My creative partner, December 2010
When I heard about the convention at Disneyland the next summer, I begged my husband to let me go on a solo vacation --- actually, he encouraged me to go. I didn't know what to expect, but I was completely overwhelmed and blown away starting with the team meeting on "Convention Eve". I'll admit to being way out of my element when everyone came dressed as princesses! That was when I realized, I was not among actuaries any longer.

Tina Sutton, the "Queen of (Scattered) Hearts"
This was about as different from what I was used to in my world as an actuary as possible. What amazed me at that team meeting was that along with the laughter and craziness, there was also a celebration of successes. Awards were given for sales, teams and longevity. Although many of the women were hobbyists like me who just wanted great products at a discount, there were also business women who were raising their families, paying bills and earning real money through Close To My Heart.

Once the convention started, it was a blur of experiences ---- seeing new products, learning new tricks and techniques, being inspired by the founder Jeanette Lynton and other leaders, meeting new people and much more.

Since that first convention, I have continued to be blown away by this company. Every new Idea Book is full of beautiful new products that are 100% on trend. I swear, we are trend setters because once something is introduced by Close To My Heart you start seeing it everywhere. I've met so many amazing people --- fellow consultants at Close To My Heart events and scrapbookers at local crops. They have become a second family to me.

My journey with Close To My Heart started with a little mouse click to order some fun new products to use for my memory albums. But from small beginnings, big things come. I can't imagine walking away from Close To My Heart now.

In summary, I was looking for PAPER, but I found SO MUCH MORE!

So here's the invitation I promised earlier:

There has never been a better time to join because during June, you get a preview of two of our new products that are coming out next month. You get to pick one of the new Fundamental paper packs and coordinating complements pack -- total value of these bonus items is over $30!

These bonuses are on top of our already fully loaded Consultant kit which includes everything in the picture below PLUS $50 in PRODUCT CREDIT!

The total retail value of this kit is over $230, but you pay just $75! Please consider taking advantage of this amazing deal!

You can learn more about being a consultant and a member of my team, the Treasure Keepers, on my website. If you have any questions, please email me. I'd love to discuss how Close To My Heart may fit your life.
