Just a little Note on Mistletoe

As a follow up to my earlier post on the versatility of Close To My Heart paper packs, I wanted to share with you this small note card. I made this very non-Christmas card with the musical score and design papers from the Mistletoe paper pack! I love this paper and am glad to find ways to keep using it after holidays wind down.

A Little Thanks stamp set

Magnificant Magnifique!

The purpose of this post is to show the versatility of a single My Reflections paper packet from Close To My Heart. I've chosen the Magnifique Level 2 Paper Packet. The cards in this picture demonstrate the variety of papers included in the pack and how the papers can take on completely different looks by matching with different card stock and embellishments. We will be making the last two cards at an upcoming workshop, Cards by the Dozen (details to come).

This nontraditional baby page was also made with Magnifique papers. Don't I have the cutest nephews and niece?

Studio J - My Happy Place!

My first "real" blog is about one of my new favorite scrapbook products, Studio J. When I heard that Close To My Heart had an online scrapbooking product, I was not very interested. I've done some digital scrapbooking (using Paint Shop Pro) and created bound books on photo websites. I was not expecting this to be any different than what I have seen elsewhere.

After becoming a consultant, I thought I should at least try out Studio J -- just in case someone asks me about it. Since this is a "try before you buy" product, so I logged on one morning when I had an extra half hour to burn. In less than 30 minutes, I created these two complete layouts!

My First Blog!

Look at me -- I'm blogging! Not bad for someone who is much more comfortable taking a math test than writing an essay. Blank sheets of writing paper were major stresses throughout my academic career. But here I am embarking on a voluntary journal.

One thing I've learned in my working life is that an interesting topic can make writing flow easily and naturally, even for a math geek like me! As a life-long crafter, I am very excited about this blog topic. I can't wait to share with you some of the fun I've been having since signing up as a consultant with Close To My Heart in November.
