Getting Personal

Are you looking for a way to personalize your project? A monogram stamp may be the answer.
Watch this video to learn more about how to add a personal touch to cards, tags or gift bag with the new My Acrylix® monogram stamps from Close To My Heart. The stamp will also dress up a family picture in your scrapbook or framed print!
Priced at just $2.95, a monogram stamp makes a nice gift. Choose the last initial for a wedding gift or the first initial for a friend. Wouldn't a pre-teen girl love one to personalize her notes and diary?
Here's a fun way I packaged one for a friend:

This cute "crayon" box was super simple using the Artiste Cricut cartridge. The box is on page 47 of the handbook (3D Object/Shift).

The window on the front of the box is the perfect size to display the stamp. I made sure that it would show through by backing the stamp with a piece of cardstock. I attached the carrier sheet to the cardstock with glue dots which are easily removed by the recipient. The original package for the stamp is included with the gift, but out of sight behind the cardstock.

A knot of Black Striped Grosgrain Ribbon adds a final touch, then viola! A beautifully presented gift.

Family is For Always Layout

This weekend, I had so much fun playing with the new elegant black & white paper set “For Always”. This paper is not available for purchase until February 1. However, as a CTMH consulant, I have a wonderful perk called “preview period”. :)
Here’s my first layout using this beautiful paper.

This paper coordinates beautiful with the Family Love stamp set which coordinates with the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. The flowers and flourishes are also on Art Philosophy which makes this elaborate layout quite simple to make.

You may notice a few other new products on this layout like the sparkly glitter paper and black buttons.

For Always has both a scrapbooking and card making Workshop on the Go. This will be the first paper pack from the new Idea Book that we use in March. Can't wait to see what everyone creates with it!

La Belle Vie Cards

If you have been following my blog, you know how much I love using up every last scrap of paper. It is so hard to throw away pieces when they are so beautiful. This week, I officially am done with La Belle Vie. After finishing the layouts I posted yesterday, I got creative with the left overs. Here’s the results:
Stamping for all of these cards is from the La Belle Vie Workshop on the Go and 4 My Friend. There are a few Cricut cuts from Artiste and Art Philosophy. Let me know if you have questions about any of these cards.

La Belle Vie Layouts

First, a note to my workshop ladies: I forgot to whip out the camera and take pictures of your masterpieces last week. I'd love to share your creations on Facebook. Just email me pictures and I'll take it from there. Thanks!

My friend, Jane Haas, who is also a consultant posted her pictures on her blog, Scrappy-Gram's Designs. Take a look and be inspired.

OK. Now, I'd like to share with you the layouts that I made with the La Belle Vie papers.
This first one is of my daughter’s choir. I modified the Workshop on the Go layout to fit my pictures including the 8x10 of the group.

This next layout is definitely a “catch up” project. These pictures are from our 2005 trip to Thailand and are from a dinner cruise we did the first full day in Bangkok. It was quite a challenge to use a French theme paper for a Thailand trip!

The food was amazing and the dancers were beautiful!

It was a great way to start our trip! Did I mention that we took this dinner cruise the first night? Well, we were quite jet-lagged. To document this, I put the picture in the bottom right in a Memory Flip Flap. When you pick it up, you will see the before and after dinner pictures of my lovely daughter.

I saved my favorite for last.

OK, I couldn’t finish up with La Belle Vie without scrapping pictures of FRANCE! The problem is that I have not been to France, so there are no pictures to scrap.

However, on our trip in March, we will have a one-hour layover in Paris. I have made my family promise that no matter how tired we are, we will take two pictures at the airport for this one-page layout!

As I mentioned in yesterday's post, La Belle Vie will be discontinued on January 31, 2013 or when supplies run out. You can order your using this link before it is gone.

Unlock My Heart

Today, I want to show you a quick, interactive Valentine’s Day card I made with the La Belle Vie papers. This is what the card looks like when you give it.

The band slides off to reveal this interlocking heart.

Unlock the heart and open the card to reveal the message.

This card is on page 71 of the Artiste Cricut Cartridge. Use the Card button to create the card base. Press Shift and the Card button to make the slide.

Just a reminder that La Belle Vie is one of 8 paper packs that will be discontinued on January 31, 2013. Follow this link to pick up yours before they are gone.
